The suburbs of Hyderabad are being evacuated in the fear of lockdown.There are about 18 lakh migrant workers from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, and Andhra Pradesh, in Hyderabad.
Of these, about 60 percent of people left the city a week ago.
As people are moving on a large scale from Hyderabad, buses and trains became overcrowded.Trains from Secunderabad, Nampally, and Kanchiguda are overcrowded.The Satavahana Express from Secunderabad to Vijayawada, the Godavari express to Visakhapatnam, and the Gautami Express to Kakinada remained overcrowded for the past one week.
The reservation in the respective trains is being completed four and a half days in advance.According to railway officials, an average of 2.60 lakh passengers commutes daily from Secunderabad, Nampally, and Kachiguda stations.On the other hand, there is no much traffic on the roads of Hyderabad as people are moving to their hometowns on a large scale.
