We all know that Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khatter and young actress Ananya Panday will be seen together in ‘Khaali Peeli’.There has been news doing rounds from the past few days that this film is an official remake of the Telugu film ‘Taxiwala’ which starred Vijay Deverakonda and Priyanka Jawalkar.Though the recently released trailer of ‘Khaali Peeli’ didn’t drop any hints of the film being ‘Taxiwaala’ remake, still some confusion remained if the film was actually a remake.Maqbool Khan is directing the film which is being produced by Ali Abbas Zafar under the banner of Zee Studios.
However, Maqbool Khan, director of the film clarified these rumors recently and has said that the film is based on an original script written by Yash Keswani and Sima Aggarwal.Except for the lead character of the respective film being cab drivers, there is nothing in common with the film plots.‘Khaali Peeli’ will very soon have its direct OTT release on Zee 5.
