Youtube May Soon Let Users Zoom In On Videos

YouTube could soon allow users zoom in on YouTube videos.

San Francisco, Aug 5 : YouTube, the streaming platform owned by Google YouTube is testing the new feature in its mobile app with its premium subscribers, which allows users to zoom in on any video.
The most recent opt-in feature allows a pinch-to-zoom gesture in videos.

It can be used in landscape and portrait view, as reported by The Verge.

According to YouTube the zoom feature is expected to stay in test until the 1st of September, which gives YouTube approximately one month to collect user feedback and refine the feature before releasing it more widely.

To enable pinch-to-zoom to zoom, go to YouTube’s settings menu on your phone or the website.If you’re a subscriber to YouTube Premium, there should be an “try new features” section.

Recently the app announced that its users are now able to convert their lengthy videos into shorts by incorporating the new “Edit into Shorts” feature to their iOS and Android application.

With this update, which is currently being released to iOS as well as Android devices users can now convert up to 60 second of their own long-form YouTube videos and convert them into shorts.

YouTube Shorts is currently being watched by more than 1.5 billion users who have signed in each month with more than 30 billion views per day.
