Surprisingly, Yami was approached for "OMG 2" by Akshay Kumar in 2020 during the lockdown.Akshay praised the script and the potential to spark discussions with its subject matter.

Despite a clash with "Gadar 2," "OMG 2" received a positive response, and Yami attributed this success to the passion and dedication of Akshay Kumar.Addressing the perception that shes "under-utilized" in the film industry, Yami acknowledged a shift in the kind of roles and projects shes been offered.
