Beijing, December 13, 2013 : .Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi announced new battery technology for its handsets.AndroidPolice reports that the new technology battery promises an additional 10% in battery capacity per volume. This is due to an increase in the electrode silicon content as well as improved packaging technology.
The control circuits are shrinked and bent so they sit flush with the top, which makes them more compact.
Xiaomi claims that its battery technology will soon be mass produced in the second quarter of 2022.
This tech could allow a smartphone with a 4,400mAh battery to be squeezed into the same space as a device with 4,400mAh.
A special fuel gauge chip is included with the battery.
This chip uses self-developed algorithms to analyze the underlying data and provides enhanced safety.
Xiaomi will soon launch an Indian smartphone that can fast charge 120W.
The Chinese company may launch the Xiaomi 11T Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ in India. These smartphones were unveiled in the company’s home market in China.
Whichever smartphone arrives in India with a 120W charging support, it will not only be the fastest charging phone in the country but also the first to cross 100W+ charging speeds.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro+, could be rebranded as the Redmi Note 11i Hypercharge in India.
The launch date of the device is still unannounced. But it is likely to arrive in India this month.
