Uttarakhand village Dont Worship Lord Hanuman

Many deities such as Lord Shiva, Lord Hanuman, Lord Ganesha, Lord Rama, Goddess Durga and Goddess Kalika are worshiped with utmost devotion by the Hindus.

However, the devotee of Rama is worshiped under various names of Hanuman in many parts of the country.

Devotees believe that worshiping Hanuman will alleviate their suffering.However, in one part of our country, Hanuman is not worshiped.His name is not even mentioned there.Worshiping Hanuman is considered a crime.

And let us find out why Hanuman is worshiped there.There is a belief in the village of Dronagiri in Chamoli in Uttarakhand.

Here the locals believe that Hanuman once took the Sanjeevani mountain from their area to treat Lakshmana who was unconscious.Places visited by Hanuman during the Ramayana period are today known as holy shrines, but even though Hanuman visited the village, the people here do not worship Anjaneyaswamy .There is not a single temple dedicated to Hanuman in this village.The battle of Rama Ravana was going on during the Ramayana period.

While Lakshmana was fighting with Ravanas son Meghnath, Meghnaths arrow hit Lakshmana and he fainted.With this, the doctor suggested that Sanjeeva be taken for his treatment.

Hanuman then went to this place in the Himalayan mountains in search of Sanjeevani.A woman from the Dronagiri region of Uttarakhand in the Himalayan range showed Anjaneyaswamy the mountain where Sanjeevani was.However, Hanuman did not understand and took the whole mountain with him from the village.Since then the people here have been very angry with Hanuman for taking Sanjeevani away from them.
