A key decision was taken at a meeting of the Union Home Ministry on the pending issues of the Partition Act.AP Bhavan took the lead on the division.It was decided to set up a committee on the division of the AP Bhavan.The ministry has given two months to submit a report on the division of the bhavan.
The decision was taken to distribute the joint building assets on 19 acres in Delhi at a ratio of 58 to AP and 42 to Telangana.
The Union Home Ministry held a review meeting with officials of the two Telugu states on issues of state partition.
At this meeting the officers participated in a virtual meeting.From Delhi, AP discussed the issue of partition with Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, AP and Telangana state secretaries Sameer Sharma and Somesh Kumar.
AP Redistribution 9, 10 schedules was discussed along with the distribution of financial resources, and with the division of various entities within the scope.
Sheila Bedi also reviewed the recommendations of the committee.
AP officials demanded that Rs 6,000 crore be paid in arrears by the Telangana DISCOMS On the other hand, the AP sought the Centre’s financial assistance in setting up the Kadapa steel plant and in the construction of the Dugarajapatnam and Ramayapatnam ports.
