TSPSC paper leak :TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy under house arrest

The political heat of TSPSC paper leak issue is getting severe with each passing day.Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief A Revanth Reddy has been detained at his house in Jubilee Hills by the city police to prevent him from joining the Osmania University (OU) students protesting against the TSPSC exams question paper leak issue.

The police have reportedly placed TPCC president Revanth Reddy under house arrest, with heavy deployment of police officers surrounding his residence.

A team of police personnel under the supervision of Banjara Hills ACP Ch Sridhar went to Revanth Reddys house on Friday morning and kept him confined to his house."We have house arrested Malkajgiri MP and TPCC President Revanth Reddy to prevent him from going to Osmania University to join protesting students," the ACP said.

All roads leading to his house have been blocked off.This comes after students unions organized a protest against the alleged paper leakage in TSPSC exams, and invited Revanth Reddy to join them in a fast at OU.However, permission was not granted for the protest, and Revanth was arrested from his residence before he could attend.Furthermore, leaders of the students unions were also reportedly arrested early on at OU.

Meanwhile, Kacheguda ACP A Srinivas said that, OU police took six activists affiliated to the Joint Action Committee of unemployed youth for trying to organise a Maha Dharna at OU campus and take out a rally from the campus to Gun Park in protest against the question paper leak issue.
