Chennai 19th August : Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian said that the government would take steps to return students who are studying medical studies in Ukraine to continue their studies. He stated that measures were taken to accommodate students who were evacuated following the start of the war between Russia and Ukraine, in colleges where a similar curriculum was taught.
The minister stated that he will discuss the issue with the Health Minister of India, whom he will be meeting shortly in New Delhi.
In conversation with reporters after visiting the Government Homeopathic Medical College at Tirumangalam in Madurai, he declared that students who arrived in Tamil Nadu from Ukraine have already addressed the Chief Minister M.K.Stalin and he was monitoring the issue.
Many thousands of students from all over Tamil Nadu were studying medicine at various medical schools in Ukraine.
