Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, in a recent media interaction, confirmed that Vijay’s Master will release only in theatres.There have been rumors about the film releasing on OTT platforms.
In his interaction, Lokesh quashed the rumors and stated that the team of Master will wait for the theatres to re-open and make an announcement on the film’s release date.Lokesh was invited as a special guest by Vijay’s fan club in Coimbatore.
The fan club members had organized a welfare event in the city and they had called Lokesh to headline the event.
After the event ended, Lokesh spoke to the media channels and gave the audience an update regarding Master.
He said, “Vijay’s Master will release only in theatres.There is no chance of the film releasing on any OTT platform.We are waiting for the theatres to re-open in the country.”
When asked about the film’s release date, Lokesh said, “I have been in touch with several people in the industry.I heard that they are in talks with the government regarding the re-opening of theatres.It has been seven months and if they don’t re-open the theatres in the future, then the livelihoods of thousands of people will be affected.Let’s wait and see.”
