Telangana Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali said there were no communal incidents in the city.
Telangana Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali has praised the efforts of the state police department in maintaining law and order effectively with the help of technology.
Speaking at the Police Commemoration Day aka Police Flag Day at LB Indoor Stadium, the communal crime has brought down in the city for the last six years.He proudly said the crime rate in Telangana was low compared to other states in the country.
The Central and State government funds have helped the state police department to purchase the latest equipment and weaponry.The funds helped to modernize the police stations, Forensic Labs and Emergency Response System that further helped on effective policing for bringing down the crime rate.
Not only that, the police department has successfully overcome the hurdles to deal with the increasing cybercrimes during Covid-19 situation, said the Minister.He said the police department has a high priority for the safety and security of the women.
Consequently, She Teams, Bharosa Centres, NRI Cell, Operation Smile and ‘Muskaan’ have set up.Along with Director-General of Police M Mahendar Reddy, the Minister has paid tribute to the police personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty at the martyrs’ memorial.
