Telangana : Vijayashanti wants to contest aganist KCR In Kamareddy

Former actress and MP, Vijayashanti, who is now a member of the BJPs national executive council, has expressed her willingness to compete against Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao in the upcoming Assembly elections in Kamareddy.

Rao, who usually contests from Gajwel, has announced that he will also be contesting from Kamareddy this time.

Vijayashanti shared on X: "The BJP workers believe that the party should not back down from a challenge.So, its not unreasonable for them to suggest that Bandi Sanjay should contest from Gajwel, and I should contest from Kamareddy against KCR.While I didnt initially plan to run for MLA elections, sometimes, its important to make strategic decisions given the circumstances." A few days ago, BJPs Huzurabad MLA, Etala Rajendar, who leads the committee for admitting political defectors, mentioned that he intends to contest against Rao in Gajwel, while also running in Huzurabad.

Rajendar made this statement in response to Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakars suggestion that he challenge Rao.This suggestion may stem from the fact that Gajwel has a significant number of voters from the Mudiraj community..
