The Telangana PCC chief, A.Revanth Reddy, has voiced concerns over what he perceives as repeated violations of the Model Code of Conduct by the BRS government.
Consequently, the Congress party has taken the step of filing a formal complaint with the Election Commission.
Addressing the media in Delhi, Reddy emphasized that the Congress is not opposed to providing Rythu Bandhu benefits to farmers."We are, in fact, advocating for the expeditious transfer of these funds to farmers accounts before November 2nd," he asserted.
Reddy underscored the importance of ensuring that beneficiaries receive their entitlements for all welfare schemes well in advance of the nomination day.Additionally, the party has drawn the attention of the Election Commission to alleged instances of misuse of official spaces, including Pragati Bhavan and MLAs camp offices."It is imperative to remember that these facilities were constructed with public funds and should not be utilized for party political activities," Reddy remarked.
He also raised concerns about perceived favoritism exhibited by officials aligned with the BRS party over the past nine years."We have urged the ECI to appoint IAS and IPS officers as SPs and collectors in all districts, and we have even provided specific officer names who appear to prioritize party agendas over their government responsibilities," he claimed.
Furthermore, the Congress has requested the ECI to review the role of retired officials in public service, as there are concerns that some may be operating in a manner that benefits the BRS party.Reddy also commented on the Medigadda barrage incident, stating that the BRS governments attempts to attribute the damage to sabotage were a diversionary tactic.
He pointed to this as a stark example of the governments failure in the construction of the Kaleshwaram project, underscoring the need for more rigorous soil testing and technical adherence in such endeavors. In raising these concerns, Revanth Reddy aims to ensure transparency and accountability in the electoral process, underscoring the importance of adhering to ethical standards throughout political campaigns.
