Snapchat lets parents know whom their children are talking with

New Delhi, Aug 9 : Snapchat on Tuesday unveiled a brand new app tool that allows parents to see the people their children are talking with and not let parents be aware of the contents of private conversations.

Parents and guardians will have the ability view the list of friends of their children and the accounts theyve been in contact with over the past week, and immediately notify suspicious accounts to Snapchat "Family Center" is designed to reflect how parents interact with their children in the real world. In the real world, parents typically know who their children are close with and when theyre socializing, but dont interfere with the private conversations of their teens," the company said in an announcement.

Both the guardian as well as the child need to agree with the Family Center invite before the tools for oversight can be put into effect. After the invitations have been accepted, the guardian will be able to check the list of friends for the child and an overview of accounts theyve had contact with in the last seven days.
