Ruhani Sharma: From Chi La Sow to HER – Evolving Roles and Exciting Projects

Tollywood actress Ruhani Sharma, known for her sensitive portrayal in "Chi La Sow" (2018), is set to headline the procedural drama "HER," which shares thematic similarities with "HIT: The First Case" (2020).

Unlike "HIT," "HER" is not a serial killer film but focuses on a murdered girls case and becomes personal for Ruhanis character, Archana, an IPS officer.

Initially hesitant to take the role in "HER" due to the films newcomer cast, Ruhani was convinced after watching the directors previous short films and the films synopsis.The movie aims to reflect the judgment women face based on their choices and lifestyle.

Preparing for her role as a police officer in "HER," Ruhani watched documentaries and interviews of real officers and underwent weapons and martial arts training to portray her character authentically.Ruhani acknowledges that her role as Anjali in "Chi La Sow" remains a benchmark in her career, and she aspires to be remembered for diverse roles.

Her acting process involves tapping into emotions and feeling her characters rather than faking them.In addition to "HER," Ruhani has exciting projects lined up, including "Saindhav" where she reunites with Sailesh Kolanu and Kanu Behls "Agra," which gained recognition at the Cannes and Melbourne Film Festivals.

In "Agra," she plays a dark, enigmatic character, and in "Saindhav," she takes on a meaningful role.
