Bengaluru 29 Aug : Global technology company OnePlus has been named the fastest-growing smart TV manufacturer in India in the initial half of 2022 in terms of sales, with a staggering 123 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth as per a report released on Monday.
According to Counterpoint Research, the growing desire for affordable, premium TVs that provide a superior user experience and increased sales across all channels have resulted in OnePlus being able to claim a bigger market share.

“At OnePlus, we continued to advance our goal of creating a top-quality accessible, connected ecosystem.This achievement is a testimony to our commitment to providing the highest quality of technological advancement to our users,” Navnit Nakra, India CEO and the Head of India region, OnePlus India, said in an announcement.

In addition, our fundamental tenet of providing a user-friendly experience has been key to the success we have achieved in the category of smart TV.We will continue to adhere to our fundamental values, Nakra added.

This has also resulted in OnePlus expanding up to be among the top three smart TV brands in India in the second quarter of 2022 according to Counterpoint Research report.

According to the report OnePlus especially saw an amazing growth rate of more than 250 percent YoY for its shipments in the sub-Rs.30,000 price range with OnePlus TV Y1 and Y1S, Y1S Pro and Y1S Edge acting as the primary sales drivers for the company.In addition, OnePlus TV Y1, the Y1S and Y1S Pro models were among the top 10 most-seller models for smart TVs in the second quarter of 2022.

“OnePlus was able to claim the third position for the first time with the company posting 123 percent YoY growth in the first quarter of 2022 fueled by the continuing success of its Y series that is priced at a reasonable price and its improved product features and a strong marketing campaign,” said Anshika Jain Senior Research Analyst for Counterpoint Research India.

In keeping with the company’s growing user community and the increasing volume of customer demand in 2019 OnePlus entered the smart TV market in India with the introduction of the OnePlus TV Q1 line, which is a high-end top-of-the-line selection of OnePlus televisions.
