Renowned Tamil filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s epic historical drama, ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, went on floors last year in Thailand and wrapped up the first schedule in January.The dream project of the veteran director is based on the literary novel of the same name, written by Kalki Krishnamoorthy.
The film’s shooting formalities have been stalled temporarily due to the lockdown.
Now the latest news is that the film’s new schedule will kick-start in Pollachi from January end and then move to Mysore.
Star hero Vikram and Keerthy Suresh will be joining this new schedule.After this schedule, the film will later head to Sri Lanka for the next major schedule from mid-April.
The film features an ensemble cast comprising pan-India actors like Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Jayaram, Aadhi, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and several others in key roles.Jointly Bankrolled by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, AR.Rahman is composing music for this historical flick.Keep watching this space for more updates!
