Mysore 13 Aug : Pavan Deshpande turned up the pace on Saturday night with a slender half-century for the Mysuru Warriors, before Aditya Goyal and Shreyas Gopal aided in limiting the fast-moving Bengaluru Blasters batting to 165/8.
The Mysuru Warriors clinch a 6-run victory.

In the first innings, Mysore Warriors lost skipper Karun Nair for 1 but it didn’t hindered them when Nihal Ullal and Pavan Deshpande were able to get their act moving.They made good usage of the fielding limitations in the powerplay, and kept the pace steady and did not allow the Blasters another chance to break through early.

The 59-run partnership between the Warriors some breathing room until Nihal went for just 23.Deshpande however was firing with all his rage, and continued to perform so despite the falling of the wicket.He was and bringing his fifty with an unbeaten six over the midwicket in the 12th over.After a few deliveries Deshpande was spotted watching the ball and was subsequently dismissed for 55, after hitting seven fours and two sixes in his 36-ball innings.

Shubhang Hegde and Shreyas Gopal were given the task with making sure the game moved forward and they scored 35 runs before being exiled for 27.Shivraj S added 13 more runs as the Warriors went at a rapid pace.Hegde ended his match unbeaten with 33 after hitting 3 fours in his run as the Warriors finished with 171/6.

In response to the loss, the Blasters were slowed to start with a slow start as LR Chethan (4) and captain Mayank Agarwal (8) were hit by the ball in the opening two innings.

Aneesh KV and Shivkumar Rakshith took on the job of rebuilding the team, and the pair put up a strong 50-run stand prior to Shreyas Gopal arrived.

Shreyas eliminated Rakshith for 34, while J Suchith trapped LBW first ball, but the hat trick did not happen because Aniruddha Joshi was cautious.

Aniruddha and Aneesh were able to rebuild the innings, increasing the pace following the 10th over with the target in sight.

Aneesh tried to start the momentum with two of sixes in the 15th over, but he was dismissed to leave the team with plenty of work to work on.Aniruddha (29) and Rishi Bopanna (2) were cleared in the 17th over, following which Kranthi Kumar was dismissed for 5 while the bottom order began to fall.LR Kumar (9*) and Pradeep (11*) took on the rest of the innings , as the Warriors took the lead at a whim.

Sunday will be a day of action with Shivamogga Strikers taking on Mysuru Warriors at 3pm, while the Gulbarga Mystics play Mangalore United in the 7pm match Both games are in Mysore.
