Lok Sabha Bulletin lists Farm Laws Repeal Bills for Winter Session

The Lok Sabha bulletin Tuesday listed The Farm Laws Repeal Bill 2021, which would repeal the three controversial farm laws announced by Prime Minister NarendraModi on November 19Most likely, the Farm Laws Repeal Bill 2021 is introduced on the first day in the Winter Session that begins November 29 "The Bill will be introduced in order to repeal the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and facilitation) Act, 2020; and Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance, Farm Services Act, 2019, and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2018," the Lok Sabha bulletin stated.

Modi announced the repeal of three farm laws passed by Parliament last year.However, Modi also stated that the Winter Session would address the process of repealing the laws.

Farmers have been agitating for nearly a year to repeal the laws and legal backing for minimum support price (MSP) among other things.The bulletin also lists other bills, including one relating to regulation of crypto currency.

It does not include any Bill related to MSP.Samyukt Kisan Mocha (SKM) has already announced that the farmers who are agitating have declared that they will continue their agitation until MSP is legalized.In an open letter addressed to the Prime Minister Sunday, the farmers also made other demands.
