IPL 2020: MS Dhoni surpasses Suresh Raina’s record on his 194th match

The 14th match between CSK vs SRH is Dhoni’s 194th match in the IPL history.

Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni is set to create yet another record as the most capped player in the history of IPL.

Till now, he has played 193 matches as a captain that is equal to Suresh Raina’s record.Before playing to CSK, MS Dhoni had played for the defunct-Rising Pune Supergiant which is why Raina is in the lead.

Also, Dhoni has equalled another record of Suresh Raina as the most capped CSK player in the history with 164 matches.Before Dhoni marked his entry in CSK, Raina has played 164 games for CSK in IPL.We all know Rain has returned to India due to personal reasons amid Coronavirus.If not, his record could have still existed.

Reports are that CSK is considering to keep out both Suresh Raina and Harbhajan permanently from CSK in the future as well.Meanwhile, no other player except Mumbai Indians captain, Rohit Sharma is close to Dhoni’s record.

The Paltan captain has now capped with 192 matches.He recently joined in the 5000 runs club with Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina.

Besides, Dhoni is all set to complete his 4500 runs in the IPL if he scores 24 runs against SRH on Friday.
