Telangana Health Department issues self-isolate advisory for the voters of GHMC polls.
The Director of Public Health Dr G Srinivas Rao and Director of Medical Education Dr K Ramesh Reddy have asked all those who actively participated in GHMC polls to isolate themselves for a week.The advisory has come as a part of precautious measures to contain the second wave of Covid-19.
The officials cited the instance of Jagtial, where the daily cases surge from 30 to 100, indicating a rise in the outbreak.According to the health officials, the second wave is likely to hit a few states either this month or the next month.
As a precautionary to delay and defuse the second wave in the city, the TG Health Department has taken the decision.Moreover, the government is going to increase the testing in GHMC limits.
Reportedly, the government will incorporate 50 additional testing centres soon.Right now, the percentage of positive cases is just 1.1% which is a very low compared 23% at the beginning of the pandemic.
