First Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi under construction!

Construction of the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi has commenced.

Unlike in India, where the constitution follows secularism, Arab nations only following along the lines of Islam.

In such nations, Abu Dhabi is one where strict rules and regulations are in place, and violators can face up to the death penalty.Founded by Shastriji Maharaj in 1907, the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha) has come forward for the construction.

The temple construction follows the architectural style of construction similar to Hindu spiritual buildings from ancient India.Over 12,250 tonnes of Pink Sandstone and 5,000 tonnes of Italian Carrara Marble is being used in the construction of the temple.

Another astonishing fact is that iron, steel, and related materials will not be used in the construction.Only cement, marble, sandstone, and fly-ash will be used.

Currently, 3000 artisans are working on statues, and other forms, that will be a part of the temple.The upcoming Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi is spread across an area of 11 acres.
