Prakash Parv: Farmers celebrate twice the repeal of farm laws

New Delhi, Nov 19, : Farmers protesting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to abolish all three of the farm laws they had been protesting for almost a year were overcome by elation on Friday.

At the scene of agitation, the slogans for farmers were also heard.The announcement by PM Modi to abolish the farm laws was viewed as the triumph of almost a year of protest.

Farmers at the site celebrated Friday evening with music and offered prayers for Prakash Parv.They referred to the announcement as "half victory".

Kapil Khatiyan from Bharatiya Kisan Union was excited to hear PM Modi begin his speech.He said, "We were hopeful that something positive may come out it for the farmers.

" He said, "All farmers celebrate after the announcement.Happiness and excitement prevail across the country.

" He said that this victory would be more thrilling if Modi had also made an announcement about the MSP law.The farmers protesting at the site felt a sense of separation, as they were about to end their almost one-year-old association.Unwilling to identify himself, a farmer said that he had created a village-like setting and lives in peace and harmony.

The farmer added, "Unregardless of the fact we are all from different backgrounds and come from different parts of the world.we have all got to move now that PM Modi has announced the repealing the farm laws we had been protesting.

" He said, "We will return home smiling with victory in our eyes." Farmers were grateful to the Prime Minister for their collective spirit, as they had the opportunity to reunite their families with the repeal of farm laws.
