Alia Bhatt is currently working for her upcoming movie ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, which is based on a real-life story of a brothel owner of the same name, and now according to the latest update, she has landed in legal trouble.A case has been filed against Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Alia Bhatt, and Bhansali Productions by Babuji Rawji Shah.
Babuji Rawji Shah, the son of Gangubai, had registered a case against Alia Bhatt who is playing the titular role, the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and ‘Bhansali Productions’.Babuji Rawji Shah also filed a case against the writer Hussain Zaidi.
The reports are coming that Babuji Rawji Shah made allegations that certain portions of the novel were defamatory and it was an infringement upon his right to privacy, and liberty.Gangubai’s son Babuji Rawji Shah sought a cessation of printing, circulation of the book, and the deletion of chapters pertaining to his mother Gangubai’.
The upcoming film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ marks Alia Bhatt’s first collaboration with the filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Though the movie was scheduled to hit the theatres in the month of September but got delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic and the lockdown.
On the other side, Alia Bhatt is making her debut in Tollywood with Rajamouliu’s directorial venture RRR.
