The body of medical student killed in Armenia is brought to the the MP’s Rewa within 14 days

Bhopal 10th of September : The remains of of a 27-year-old medical student Ashutosh Dwivedi who was believed to have been killed in Armenia during the night of August 27-28 arrived in his Madhya Pradesh home’s Rewa district on the weekend.
The family members of Dwivedi’s took the body to the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi at 22:30 am on Saturday, after which it was transferred to Rewa via an ambulance.

According to reports, the body of Dwivedi was discovered by the police in Yerevan the capital of Armenia on the 28th of August 28 in the shop in an area known as DeWitt Beck Street.The reports said that the Armenian police have arrested a 45-year old man known as Balwinder Singh in connection with Dwivedi’s death.

A family member informed IANS that the body was brought to the village that is located beneath Tenothar town in Rewa district around 3:00 pm on a Saturday.The family members who were hurt were waiting for 14 days to receive the body following the receipt of information regarding the killing of Ashutosh in the Indian Embassy in Armenia on the 28th of August.

The relatives of the deceased had confirmed that the entire cost to transport the body Armenia to Delhi and then back to the village were covered by the Madhya Pradesh government.

“We are thankful to the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for his help in helping us to bring the body to justice.

We also thank the officials , the state administration as well as the Indian Embassy, who have helped us tremendously during this difficult moment,” said Rakesh Tiwari Deivedi’s cousin.

The final rights were performed later in the evening on Saturday.

However, the family doesn’t still unable to determine the exact cause of the demise of Ashutosh who was a fourth year medical student in Armenia.

His father is an instructor at a state-run school in Rewa was requesting the state government for the funds to help bring the remains of his son since the family was unable pay for the costs, IANS had reported on September 1.

BJP MLA from the Tenothar Assembly, Shyamlal Dwivedi wrote to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) to offer financial assistance to the family in order to bring the body back to the home of the deceased.The family had borrowed money to assist Dwivedi in pursuing his medical training in Armenia.
