BKU arrives in the support of Tyagi community and seeks the release of Shrikant Tyagi

Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh) 20 August : The Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) has announced its support for the planned protest scheduled for August 21 in Noida by the Tyagi community against the claimed "harassment of Shrikant Tyagi and his family" and demanded his immediate release.

BKU National president Naresh Tikait has said that "This issue could have been solved through discussions.Utilizing bulldozers in order to take down suspected illegal constructions, and the slapping of the Gangsters Act on Shrikant Tyagi and the harassment of Tyagis family members from the administration was not justified.

There is a legitimate method that could have been followed." He added, "We demand immediate release of Tyagi (who is in the custody of the judicial system at present) and the revocation of the more serious sections from the FIR that he is facing. This is inhumane.
