Bhumi Pednekar Focuses On Well-rounded Characters In Pursuit Of Pan-india Films

Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar has said that she will continue to focus on roles that interest her, regardless of the length of the character.

The 33-year-old actress, who first rose to fame with the 2015 film Dum Laga Ke Haisha, stated that she has always given importance to well-rounded characters.

In a recent interview, she said that she has been fortunate enough to receive quality work and that she has taken advantage of every opportunity that has come her way.She also expressed her desire to star in pan-India and global films.Pednekars latest movie, Afwaah, directed by Sudhir Mishra, released on Friday.

The central theme of the movie is the importance of opposing harmful rumours and the consequences they can have on individuals lives.It also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Pednekar plays Nivedita, the daughter of a politician, in the film.She described the character as an ambitious girl and said that the role is close to her real self.

Pednekar stated that she was excited to play a girl who is headstrong, arrogant, super ambitious, and full of desires.Bhumi Pednekar also spoke about working with Nawazuddin Siddiqui, whom she admires.

She said that as an actor, Siddiqui lives in the moment, which she found inspiring.Pednekar stated that Siddiquis approach helped her enhance her performance.

In addition to Bhumi Pednekar and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Afwaah also includes Sharib Hashmi, Sumit Kaul, Sumeet Vyas, and TJ Banu in its cast.The film has been produced by Anubhav Sinha under his banner, Benaras Media Works.

When asked about the scrutiny and rumours surrounding actors, Pednekar said that it is part and parcel of the job and that she has learned to deal with it over the years.She acknowledged that rumours exist in every individuals life, and as an actor, one must learn to deal with them, whether they are true or not.Pednekar believes that it is unfair, but it is a part of the entertainment industry.
