The Andhra Pradesh High Court has given the green signal to the ZPTC and MPTC election counting process.
The High Court dismissed the single bench judgment.
Today, the division bench said that the counting process related to the ZPTC and MPTC elections could be carried out in the state.A bench comprising Chief Justice (CJ), Justice Arup Kumar Goswami and Justice J Umadevi passed the order on Thursday.
MPTC and ZPTC elections were held for 515 ZPTCs and 7220 MPTCs on April 8 this year.The High Court single bench issued orders halting the counting process, which was to be held on April 10.The SEC has approached the High Court on the single division bench orders.The SEC said to the Andhra Pradesh High court that the ZPTC and MPTC elections were conducted on the orders of the division bench.
The SEC said holding re-elections would be impossible in the wake of the corona, and crores of rupees would be wasted.Today, the High Court gave the green signal to the counting process by removing the legal implications.
With this, the SEC began the exercise for the counting process.
