The Maha Padayatra of Amaravati farmers will start from today in Andhra Pradesh.
The Maha Padayatra will continue for 47 days.
Amaravati farmers are initiating a walkathon under the name of the Nyayasthanam to Devasthanam.The padayatra will be held under the auspices of the Amravati Conservation Society.
The padayatra will start at 09:05 am this morning in Tulluru.The padayatra will be held in Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore and Chittoor districts.
The Amaravati farmers are scheduled to reach Thirumala by December 17 through a walkathon.On November 1, the farmers will walk for 12.9 km from Tulluru to Tadikonda.From Tulluru, the farmers reaches Thirumala via Tadikonda, Guntur Amravati Road, Pulladigunta, Ethukuru, Pratipada, Pedanandipadu, Ongole, Tangutur, Singarayakonda, Kavali, Nellore, Kovur, Venkatagiri, Srikalahasti, Renigunta, Tirupati and Alipiri.
Farmers urged that all sections of the people should participate in the walkathon.Also, they said that invitations had already been issued to the leaders of all political parties.
Though AP DGP Gautam Sawang denied permission for Amaravati farmers padayatra due to security concerns, the High Court has permitted the Maha Padayatra of Amravati farmers.Amravati farmers have been calling for a 47-day padayatra from November 1 to December 17.
