Alipiri footpath will remain closed till July 31: TTD

The Tirumala Tirupati Temple has announced that the Tirumala Alipiri trekking path will remain closed for two months from today.

TTD said it was closing the Alipiri trekking path from Tirupati to Tirumala from June 1 to July 31 to expedite the reconstruction of the roof.

However, devotees who want to go to Thirumala on foot are asked to go through the Srivari steps pathway.For this, TTD has made arrangements to transport devotees by free buses from Alipiri to the stairway.

TTD asked the devotees to notice this and asked to cooperate with TTD.Fastag will come into effect from Tuesday at the Alipiri checkpoint on the way from Tirupati to Tirumala.Officials who have already met taxi owners between Tirumala and Tirupati have conducted a review on the implementation of Fastag.

Also, TTD announced that the new toll charges would be implemented.TTD which used to charge Rs.3 for motorcycles will be allowed for free.However, four-wheelers will now be charged Rs.50 which was Rs.15 in the past.TTD is going to charge Rs.250 from 13-seater which was Rs.100 in the past.
