Along with Nandamuri Balakrishna and yester year actress Jamuna ,Veteran director Dasari Narayana Rao has inaugurated Andhra Pradesh Film Industry Employees Federation’s New Building .The building has located at Venkatagiri in Jubilee Hills named as ‘NTR Cine Karmika Bhavan’, built by Andhra Pradesh Film Employees Federation.
Speaking on this occasion, Dasari has said that he was feeling happy as various Unions of the Telugu cinema industry, which were maintained their activities in rental buildings after shifting from Chennai to Hyderabad, have constructed their own buildings now.
While Balakrishna was happy to have this federation building on his late father’s name NTR Cine Karmika Bhavan (‘NTR Movie Workers Building’).
Balakrishna said, “I am very happy for two reasons.One is because our Basavatarakaram Cancer Hospital has been declared as the best in Andhrapradesh.
Second is because everyone came together to build this structure which bears the name of my father.I promise to lend moral and financial support in future”, he assured.
Apparently, it was said that many workers were not happy and discussions are happening among the workers as to why it is named after N T Rama Rao.Some are suggesting instead of NTR, the building must be named as Cine Employees Federation Building.
D.Ramanaidu and Shamprasad Reddy offered cheque of Rs.1 lakh each and actress Jamuna gave 50k cheque for maintenance of the building.
