Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda is reuniting with director Rahul Sankrityan after a long break.Their last collaboration was the movie ‘Taxiwala,’ and this new project marks their return after over five years apart.
Rahul previously worked with actor Nani on ‘Shyam Singha Roy,’ and now, he and Vijay are teaming up for an untitled political-thriller-drama.This film will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers and will blend elements of period-action-drama with political-thriller genres.
The story will be set in the Rayalaseema region, and production is scheduled to start in 2024.Although the plot is shrouded in secrecy, the script impressed Vijay Deverakonda enough to give it the green light.
The script is currently in the writing and finalization stage, and the film’s title is expected to be revealed in October or November.
Vijay Deverakonda, known for his recent appearance in ‘Khushi,’ also has two other projects in the works with working titles ‘VD12’ and ‘VD13.’ The upcoming collaboration between Vijay and Rahul has generated significant anticipation in the Telugu film industry, as fans eagerly await more details about this intriguing political-thriller-drama.
For those who are not aware, Vijay Deverakonda’s journey in the Telugu film industry began in 2011 with “Nuvvila.” However, it was his breakthrough role in the 2016 film “Pelli Choopulu” that earned him recognition and a Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu.“Arjun Reddy” in 2017 turned him into a Telugu cinema sensation.Deverakonda’s career continued to soar with successful films like “Mahanati,” “Geetha Govindam,” “Taxiwaala,” “Dear Comrade,” and “Kushi” in 2023.He’s also ventured into production with his company, King of the Hill Entertainment, and is admired for his diverse roles and strong on-screen presence.
