Gurugram, Sep 6 : In a shocking incident, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped by five youths in a village near Gurugram’s Sohna early on Wednesday, police said.
According to the complaint, the girl’s parents were not at home at the time of the incident and only the victim, a student of class 8, and her younger brother and sister were there.
The victim’s uncle, who is also the complainant, said that it was around 4 a.m.on Wednesday when he reached his brother’s house and found the girl missing.He later noticed that five youths running out from the house opposite.
“At the same time, my brother’s daughter also came out of that house crying.My niece told me that five youths forcibly took her to the house opposite her own house, and gang-raped her,” the complainant added.
The accused also gagged her by stuffing a cloth in her mouth and threatened to kill her if she disclosed the matter to anyone, the uncle said.
On receiving information about the incident, a police team reached the spot.
The girl has been hospitalised and is under treatment, police said.
An FIR has been registered against five persons, including three named accused at Sohna City Police Station, they said.All five are absconding.
“FIR has been registered and it is being investigated.We are verifying the facts.Action will be taken as per the prescribed law,” DCP, South, Siddhant Jain said.
