Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has called upon the people to bid adieu to the ruling YSRC government if they want real development, a happy environment and an end to “anarchy” in the state.
Addressing a public meeting as part of his state-wide tour on Varahi, at Amalapuram in Dr B.R.Ambedkar Konaseema district on Thursday, Pawan Kalyan coined an election slogan, ‘Halo AP-Bye Bye YSR Congress’ and urged the people to support the Jana Sena in the coming polls.
He announced that, if elected to power, he would give top priority for education and health and make these accessible to all.I will arrange rail connectivity to Konaseema region.I shall set up a single window system for starting private hospitals and industries once the Jana Sena wins power.”
In a strong retort to Chief Minister Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy’s upholding of the concept of Class War, he said the class war should be against those who are looting the state’s natural resources and not against those who pay taxes to the state government from their honest earnings.
Pawan Kalyan referred to CM Jagan Mohan Reddy’s promises like 70 per cent reservation for local youth in the industrial units and asked him as to why he failed to question the ONGC, GAIL, Reliance, Vedanta etc when they were taking away huge quantum of oil and gas from Konaseema region but failed to provide jobs to local youth.
Firms were blaming the state government for not spending two per cent of their contribution from corporate social responsibility (CSR) for local development, he said.
The YSRC government reneged on its assurances like creation of 2.30 lakh jobs, filling up of 50,000 teacher posts and creation of 6,500 posts in police department, he said and asked the youth as to why they were not questning the CM on such issues.
Pawan Kalyan promised to generate one lakh jobs soon after his party assumed power. He flayed the YSRC government for its failure to abolish the Contributory Pension Scheme as was promised.“I will do this for the employees when I come to power,” he said.
“Our CM is playing with the ‘Pasupu-Kumkum’ of our women by supplying adulterated liquor and he will be held responsible if their men develop health issues.”
Pawan Kalyan said, “Kakinada has become the gateway for ganja and youths are getting addicted to its consumption as never before.I told Union home minister Amit Shah about how AP is becoming a hub for ganja.”
The Jana Sena chief alleged that the crime rate in AP was going up and women were being harassed and even raped.“I will provide protection to women and restore self-respect to them.”
He appealed to the Chief Minister, state Chief Secretary and DGP to withdraw cases against the 250 youths who were booked during the Konaseema violence.
