Mumbai 13th September : It appears that the hunt to find a a replacement of Shailesh Lodha in the long-running TV show “Taarak Mehta K Ooltah Chashma” has come to an end.The producers have settled on Sachin Shroff of “Bannoo Main Teri Dulhann fame to fill in for him.Shailesh who was in the role of Taarak Mehta in the sitcom, resigned from the show due to of disagreements with the producers and was unable to pursue other possibilities.
Producer Asit Kumarr Modi has told IANS: “We are searching for an actor who is talented.Shailesh Lodha is also a possibility to return.I’m not happy when one of my actors quit the show.”
He said: “I spoke to him in detail before he left, but I was able to not do anything as he was offered a new job and was keen to leave.We would like to see him back.
But I am not able to wait forever for anyone.The show is larger than any one of us, and for the audience, I have to find his replacement in the event that he will not return.”
The talks didn’t come to fruition so now actor Sachin will become the next face.
In an interview with IANS the producer of “TMKOC” stated: “Yes, we have the show’s star Sachin Shroff in our show.We wanted an actor who is well-known and has a good rapport with the viewers and Sachin has been a part of in several of shows.Additionally, we needed an actor who was committed and he is the perfect fit for us in the same way.”
Shroff has been a part of numerous of shows which include ‘C.I.D.’and “Naam Gum Jaayega’, ‘Balika Vadhu and Naaginn.
Now what success he is in taking over the role of Lodha will be witnessed in the upcoming episodes of “Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma’.
