Bhopal 12 September : The monsoon session of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly is scheduled to begin on Tuesday with the Opposition getting ready to confront the ruling BJP on a variety of issues including corruption, unemployment, and the rise of crimes against women.According to officials, although the five-day session was scheduled for end on the 17th of September, it could be cut by one day in anticipation of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Kuno National Park.
In the meantime, Assembly Speaker Girish Gautam has scheduled an all-party meeting later in the evening.
The government of the BJP as well as the opposition Congress have also scheduled an additional session of their MLAs.
According to sources, the Congress of the BJP will be meeting at the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s official residence.the leader of the opposition in the state Assembly Dr Govind Singh will chair a meeting of MLAs of the party at MPCC Kamal Nath’s home.
“I will ensure that the session continues in a continuous manner with productive discussions on the subjects discussed in the House.We can’t spend time on unnecessary discussions, as the session is already short.
Therefore, any form of disruption or unneeded intervention by MLAs who are not from the party line will not be accepted,” Speaker Girish Gautam said to IANS.
The leader of opposition party said that Congress MLAs will cooperate in making sure the session is successful.
Speaking to IANS, Singh pointed out: “We are prepared to confront the ruling BJP on a variety of public issues including scams and corruption, unemployment, the rise of criminality against women and tribals, inflation, and many more.We will also seek answers by the Chief Minister on the reason why scams after scams have been discovered in the state.”
The opposition’s cadre is preparing to challenge the ruling BJP on a variety of fronts.”A session will be scheduled at a later time in the evening and every Congress MLAs will be assigned the responsibility of a particular subject or role to be discussed.We will also develop our specific plan for the session,” Dr.Singh declared.
