On a padayatra from Oct 2021. Y.S. Sharmila has been making her mark in T’gana

Hyderabad 11 September : YSR Telangana Party is trying to establish itself in the crowded political arena of TelanganaIts chief Y.

S.Sharmila is the daughter of the former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy and younger sister of the current Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy is on a padayatra from October last year.She hit a major milestone on Saturday when she completed 2,000 miles in her yatra.

According to YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) leaders, in the past 148 days, she reached out to more than 2 million people to share their concerns and also to assure them of an improvement when her party takes the throne.On the 8th of July last year which also coincides with the birthday anniversary of her father YSR, Sharmila announced the launch of the YSR Telangana Party.

She has walked through 34 Assembly constituencies 31 municipalities and Mandals (blocks) as well as 987 villages.She has taken on more territory in the state than all other politician from Telangana.

In these 148 days, Sharmila addressed 34 public gatherings, during which she took on the mismanagement and misguided practices of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government.The YSRTP leader also held 91 Maata-Muchata sessions with women from all villages in order to discuss the challenges women confront and assure them that she will do her best to solve these issues.

She took part in the 26 Raithu Gosa dharnas, to bring attention to the suffering of the farmers of Telangana and demanded that the government address the issues that farmers face.To ensure that the needs of youth who are not employed of Telangana are fulfilled, she took part in 19 Nirudyoga Nirahara Deekshas or hunger strikes on Tuesdays.

In addition, Sharmila also held seven Vadla Konugolu dharnas or protests requesting the government to buy paddy from farmers.She also hosted Chenetha Atmiya Sadassu, a meeting on the challenges faced by weavers and Palamuru Neella Poru to discuss the water issues of Mahabubnagar district, and one meeting of the constituency cadre.

Sharmilas padayatra will run until December 2022 and she will cover every region of the state.She has previously, she has completed a three-day padayatra of 3,000 kilometers that began from the memorial of her father in Idupulapaya in YSR Kadapa district on the 18th of October in 2012.

In the past, she was able to advocate for the cause of her brother, who is the the current Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Jagan Mohan Reddy, the padayatra of the present signifies her entry into the political world of Telangana.ms/ar.
