Chennai 10th Sep : India Test specialist Ajinkya Rahane displayed a stunning performance when he returned from an injury.he crushed a never-beaten double in order to put West Zone in an unbeatable position against the North-East Zone in the Duleep Trophy match in Chennai on Saturday.Rahane and young batter Yashasvi Jaiswal put West Zone in the driver’s position.Rahane hit 207 and not out of only 264 of the balls.
Rahane’s double century, with Jaiswal’s 228th and Prithvi Shaw’s 113, took West to a record 590/2.
In response, North East Zone were defeated by only 235 runs in their first innings.
West Zone currently lead by 367 runs.
