Wellington 5th September : New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern will be traveling to New York on September 17 to represent her country at the UN General Assembly, as and host the summit of leaders and participate in activities to encourage investment, trade and tourism.

She is co-hosting the Christchurch Call to Action Leaders Summit with the President of France Emmanuel Macron on September 20.

The Christchurch Call is a community of more than 120 governments and online service providers and civil society organizations working together to eradicate violent extremist and terrorist content on the internet.

The call was made following terrorist attacks on two mosques in Christchurch in March 2019.

When she is in New York, she will also make use of the occasion to increase awareness of New Zealand trade and export interests, including a attending meetings with Motion Picture Association of America executives to promote New Zealand as a film-friendly destination.
