Bhopal Sep 4, : Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and the National General Secretary of the BJP Kailash Vijayvargiya, who once were rivals, not just in politics, but as well in the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) have shocked everyone with their new the way they interact.In the annual award ceremony of the MPCA in Indore on Friday, the two actors shared the stage after many years.
The program was just beginning and Scindia was on stage and the an experienced BJP leader Vijayvargiya who had always been Scindia’s adversary on the MPCA chairperson’s position was seated in the front row with other guests.At the same time, Scindia surprised everyone when he removed himself from the stage, grabbed Vijayvargiya’s hands and carried him back to the stage.
Vijayvargiya was present in the event in the capacity that he is chairman of the Indore Divisional Cricket Association (IDCA).Scindia’s gesture was well-received by the crowd who burst in cheers.
The reaction of the people who were there was understandable considering that Scindia and Vijayvargiya were once arch rivals.The feud began when Vijayvargiya contests Scindia to the top spot of MPCA twice.
While Vijayvargiya was defeated on both occasions, Scindia had to campaign for the election with a lot of effort.It also gained on a political tone since Scindia was in the Congress at the time.
However the situation changed in March 2020 when Scindia was a part of the BJP.A few days ago, Scindia along with his son Mahanaryaman visited Vijayvargiya’s house in Indore and enjoyed a meal together.
In the Friday’s program of MPCA the ex- Indian captain Anil Kumble and the former BCCI secretary Sanjay Jagdale, MPCA president Abhilash Khandekar, and all office bearers were present at the podium.The former Indian wicketkeeper Kiran More also attended the event as did with the MP Ranji trophy-winning team, who took home the trophy for the first time since 1955.
