Police detain 13 suspects for hurling stones at the Bihar the carcade of Bihar’s CM

Patna 22 August : The Patna Police arrested 13 persons in connection with stones thrown at the motorcade of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday.

The stone pelting occurred at Sogahi village, which is located under Gaurichak police station in Patna.The carcede of the CM was on the route to Gaya on Sunday.

Nitish Kumar was scheduled to attend a program to review the upcoming "Pritripaksha Mela" which is held every year .People of the Hindu community from all over the globe come to Gaya to enjoy "Pind Daan".CM Nitish Kumar wasnt present in the vehicles.of the vehicles.

He was to travel to Gaya via helicopter on Monday.The carcade arrived the day before to provide transportation local to the chief minister.

Chandrashekher Singh, the district magistrate of Patna has appointed an additional two-member committee made up of the district magistrate (Law and Order) and DSP headquarter to look into the incident and provide the report within 24 hours.The Sogahi villagers of Sogahi protested against the killing of the youth whom was reported missing since the day of August 7.The residents claim they had four of his acquaintances went to the banks of Ganga River near Gaighat and one of the four was missing since that time.Family of the victim of the victim filed a missing report in the Gaurichak police station.

The body of the victim was discovered on Sunday.The villagers, following the recovery of the body of the deceased, threw it in the street and protested district administration.
