New Delhi, Aug 22 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Haryana as well as Punjab on the 24th of August to officially dedicate two important health initiatives.
In the early morning of August 24 The Prime Minister will open Amrita Hospital in Faridabad, Haryana.

After that the Prime Minister will visit Mohali and dedicate the ‘Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre’ to the nation, in Mullanpur, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar District (Mohali) at approximately 2:15 p.m.

The accessibility of modern medical facilities in the National Capital Region (NCR) will be boosted when the Prime Minister is set to inaugurate Amrita Hospital at Faridabad.

The hospital is managed by Mata Amritanandamayi Math the super-specialty hospital will be outfitted with 2600 beds.

The hospital that is being built at a cost of about 6,000 crore, will provide top-of-the-line healthcare facilities to the citizens of Faridabad and across the NCR region.

In an effort to provide world-class cancer treatment to the people of Punjab and other states and UTs The Premier will dedicate the “Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre’ for the entire nation in Mohali.

The Hospital is being constructed at an expense of more than 660 crore rupees through the Tata Memorial Centre, an aid-funded institute of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India.

The Cancer Hospital is a tertiary-care hospital of 300 beds.

It is equipped with modern facilities for treating all types of cancers by using all treatment option, including Surgery Radiotherapy, Medical Oncology, and Radiotherapy Chemotherapy, immunotherapy and Bone marrow transplants.

“The Hospital will function like an “hub” of cancer treatment and care in the region with Sangrur’s 100-bed hospital in Sangrur acting as a “spoke,”” the Office of the Prime Minister declared.
