New Delhi, Aug 22 : Due to the mahapanchayat held by the farmers of Jantar Mantar on Monday, the entire Delhi-NCR witnessed traffic jams.The traffic flow at the border was extremely slow due to the barricading of the border by police.Numerous locations for entry of the capital city of the nation as well as Ghazipur, Chilla, Tikri, Singhu and Faridabad were experiencing traffic congestion.
Farmers have received a message to join together at Jantar Mantar to discuss the subject of unemployment.
The Delhi Police have beefed up the security at all border crossings.The police have also put in place elaborate plans to prevent all kinds of unwanted incidents.
At the border, vehicles were scrutinized thoroughly.
The Delhi Police had earlier said the gathering of farmers could result in issues with traffic and potentially dangerous incidents in the capital city and thus had put in place security measures.
