Flipkart Ventures invests in 6 companies in the early stages of tech.

Bengaluru 18 August : Flipkart Ventures, the venture fund of $100 million created by Flipkart on Thursday, announced it would invest in six tech startups in the early stages in the course of its accelerator program.
The six companies will be awarded an equity stake upto $500,000 from Flipkart and will undergo a 16 weeks of mentorship under the “Leap Ahead” program.

“Through this effort we hope to be an agent in the rapidly growing startup scene by expanding our program each year , and offering growth opportunities to young entrepreneurs,” said Ravi Iyer Director of Corporate Development and Senior Vice President of Corporate Development.

The startups cover fields like robotics, AI and personalisation, data analytics supply chain solutions, insurance technology applications, metaverse and much more.

These include Dopplr (metaverse), Livwell (insurtech) LogisticsNow, NeuroPixel.AI, Rightbot Technologies and Sellerapp.

The startups will be part of the well-planned mentorship program that is delivered via a customized curriculumthat was developed by Bain & Company.

At the conclusion of the program, entrepreneurs will have the opportunity present their ideas to investors and industry leaders during Demo Day.

The Flipkart “Leap Ahead” programme completed its initial cohort in July 2021 with eight startups that pitched their concepts to investors and secured additional funds.
