Srinagar 16 August : Srinagar, Aug 16 : All India Congress Committee on Tuesday announced Vikas Wani as its new president of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC).
The post was vacant following Ghulam Ahmad Mir stepped down as the JKPCC president.
Wani is a faithful supporter of the former Chief Minister Azad who was charged with the responsibility of coordinating the campaign of the party in the Union Territory.
With the appointment of Wani as JKPCC President, the conflict between Azad supporters and those who support Ghulam Ahmad Mir appears to have ended as Mir has said he will abide by the ruling of the high command of the party.
