Jaipur 5 Aug : Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has appealed to the Central government to provide financial aid to the state in order to control the skin disease that is causing lumps among cattle in the state.
Lumpy virus is now spreading to buffaloes and cows in 17 districts of Rajasthan.

Bemoaning the spread of the disease among cattle, Gehlot said that the state government was taking all the possible measures to stop the spread of the disease.

He demanded the Central government to provide financial and essential assistance to protect the cow’s progeny and also to assist in the effective management of the illness.

Gehlot demanded the owners of cattle of the state as well as the Gaushala operators to be patient and urged public officials and the voluntary groups to work with the government of the state in the prevention and control of the illness.

Gehlot claimed that livestock is the source of life of the farmers of Rajasthan.

The cows provide financial assistance to cattle farmers in the occasion of the onset of famine.For centuries, pastoralists have been fighting against adversity conditions due to the strength of livestock.

He declared that the state government was determined to safeguard the value of the vital livestock wealth of the state.and to help them become financially self-sufficient by providing them with the options of employment, along with their development and expansion of the production of livestock.

More than 4,292 cows have died because of the virus that has taken over 10 districts of western Rajasthan to seven districts.This includes the capital Jaipur district, as in Ajmer, Udaipur, Kuchaman City, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Churu among others.

State Minister of Animal Husbandry Lalchand Kataria has directed to stop the transportation of animals in the coming month.In Jaipur as well the disease has infected cattle in the Hingonia Gaushala.

According to the report by the government according to the report of the government, more than 1.21 lakh cattle are affected by this virus.

About 94,222 patients are receiving treatment and 42,232 animals were rescued.The majority of animals are believed to be suffering from the disease in Barmer.
