Chennai, 28 Dec : .The Governor is currently reviewing the NEET exemption bill passed by Tamil Nadu Assembly, according to Raj Bhavan in response to a Right to Information query.

He filed the query under the RTI Act in order to find out the status.

Gajendra Babu, speaking to IANS said that he had received a response from me regarding my question about the NEET exempt bill status.He stated: “The Hon Governor of Tamil Nadu is currently considering it.”

According to him, the order was issued by S.Venkateshwaran (Public Information Officer at Raj Bhavan and Under Secretary of the Governor), on December 17.

Both the Chief Minister’s Office and the Chief Secretary have not yet responded to this query.

While Banwarilal Purohit served as Governor, the Raj Bhavan passed the bill.

On September 13, the Assembly passed the Tamil Nadu admission to undergraduate medical degree courses bill 2021.

This law dispenses with requirements that candidates must pass the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test to be eligible for admission to MBBS or allied programs.

Tamil Nadu would like students to get admitted to MBBS or BDS programs based on the scores they have attained in the plus-two examinations.
