New Delhi, November 18 : .Delhi awoke to partly cloudy skies with an average temperature of 11.2 degrees Celsius and poor air quality.The India Meteorological Department, (IMD) predicts that the temperature will drop to 9° Celsius this week.
At 27°C, the maximum daytime temperature will be.
At 8.30 am, the relative humidity was at 82%.
The maximum temperature recorded on Wednesday was 27°F and the minimum 10.5°F – both two degrees below the normal.
The System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research, (SAFAR) reported that the total Air Quality Index (AQI), of the capital city at nine o’clock in the morning was 362.
A AQI of between 50 and 50 is considered a good score, 51 to 100 a satisfactory score, 101 to 200 a moderate score, 201 to 300 if you are poor, 301 or 400 if you’re very poor, and between 401 and 500 is considered severe.
There was a level of both PM2.5 and 10 pollutants at 200 and 361 respectively.
The Air Quality Early Warning System (Air Quality) for Delhi indicates that the air quality in Delhi-NCT will improve slightly, but still remain in the “very poor” category between November 18th and 19th.
For the next five days, expect an improvement in air quality.The November 21st winds will cause significant improvements.The predominant pollutant is PM2.5.
