TRS govt to launch ‘Dalit Bandhu’ today in Vasalamarri

The ambitious project of the Telangana state government, the Dalit Bandhu scheme, will be implemented today in Telangana.

The Dalit Bandhu scheme would be implemented from Thursday in Chief Minister KCRs adopted village Vasalamarri.

As a part of this scheme, 76 Dalit families in the Vasalamarri village will get Rs 10 lakh today.Recently, CM KCR toured his adopted village, Vasalamarri.

Speaking on this occasion, CM KCR said, "Its up to you to decide how you want to spend this money," to the Dalit families.Also, he said that no one should waste a single penny unnecessarily from this.

The CM suggested to the Dalit families that the funds should be utilized to ensure the future.However, CM KCR made it clear to the people in Vasalamarri that they will deduct Rs 10,000 from Rs 10 lakhs under the Dalit Bandhu scheme and divert it into the Dalit Bandhu Rakshana fund.

CM KCR said that houses will also be built with Dalit Bandhu funds in future.While touring Vasalamarri, CM KCR said that the Dalit Bandhu scheme was supposed to start a year ago but was delayed due to the corona outbreak.

The lockdown imposed by the state due to the coronavirus outbreak has significantly reduced the state governments revenue.He said the implementation of some schemes was pending due to declining revenue.
