AP govt deposited Rs. 671.45 crore under ‘Jagananna Vidya Deevena’ scheme

Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Monday launched the Jagannanna Vidhya Deevena scheme, which aims to provide higher education to poor students.To this end, the first installment of the 2020–21 fee reimbursement was deposited into the accounts of the students mothers.

Jagan released funds of Rs 671.45 crore for this.The first installment of Reimbursement is going to benefit 10,88,439 students across the state.

However, the government will grant the fee reimbursement in four installments.Today, the state government has released the first installment tuition fees for students.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that only with education, the quality of life can be improved and the poverty will get diminished.He said Rs 1,880 crore was paid during 2018-19 and funds of Rs 4,208 crore released 2019-20.

He said that the government will take responsibility for the education of the children.CM Jagan said that the education fund will be released after the completion of each quarter.

He said the government would respond immediately if eligible students call 1902 if they do not receive a fee reimbursement.The government is launching the scheme with the intention that mothers will go to college four times a year to pay their fees, where they will have the opportunity to examine the facilities and teaching methods and question the management.
